Welcome 36 FPT University students to Japan, starting their 3-month ON THE JOB TRAINING journey

The Opening Ceremony was attended by: FJA Principal Kuroda Hideo, FPT Japan Holdings Marketing Director Nakai Takumi, and the teachers currently teaching at FJA. Especially in this OJT course, the students are accompanied by three FPT University staff members in their early days in Japan: Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Director of FPT Education Office, Bui Van Phu, Manager of International Cooperation Department of FPT University Hanoi, and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Officer of International Cooperation Department of FPT University HCM.

Principal Kuroda was delighted to see the bright and eager faces of the students. During the Opening Ceremony, he shared three messages: First, enjoy the culture, architecture, and nature of Japan. Second, learn the good habits and work ethic of the Japanese people. Third, strive to improve your Japanese language skills at FJA and hopefully return to Japan in the future.

Mr. Nakai expressed his joy that the students chose to study Japanese – a beautiful and poetic language. He also encouraged them to take advantage of their time in Japan to explore its long-standing and unique culture. Especially, with Japan’s economy in need of young engineers, there will be many career opportunities for them here. The students should focus on improving their Japanese proficiency alongside developing their skills and learning their specialties.

On the same day, the students visited the headquarters of FPT Japan Holdings to learn about the working environment of an international company, then visited Zojoji Temple and Tokyo Tower – iconic landmarks of Tokyo.

The upcoming 3-month journey will undoubtedly be challenging and require much effort, but it will provide the students with valuable experiences, knowledge, and insights, serving as a stepping stone for a bright future ahead.
