The first cohort of students receiving the Go Japan Scholarship has completed their studies.
In July, 21 students majoring in Information Technology from Phenikaa University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, FPT University, and Vietnam National University received the first Go Japan Scholarships from FPT Japan Holdings and began their journey in Japan.
For 1.5 months, they regularly attended classes at FPT Japan Academy (FJA) to enhance their Japanese language skills with native teachers. FJA designed a curriculum that integrated Business Japanese, IT Japanese, and essential skills and etiquette required in the workplace, such as writing emails and exchanging business cards, to prepare them for the working culture in Japan.
More uniquely, they had many unparalleled opportunities, such as interacting with Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung and attending a networking event with managers and senior colleagues working at FJP. These activities helped broaden their perspectives on the market situation, demand, and development direction of the IT industry in particular and globally in general.
The most anticipated part of this course was a one-month internship at FJP in highly sought-after fields: Automotive, Low-code, Data Analytics, and Cloud, with very young and talented mentors. In addition to testing their skills in the dynamic global work environment at FJP, they gained valuable real-world experience from their seniors.
The program for the first cohort receiving the Go Japan Scholarship concluded on August 30 with a certificate presentation and graduation ceremony. Although the 1.5-month period was short and busy, they had countless invaluable experiences. This will serve as a solid stepping stone for their future as global citizens. See you again in Japan!
