FPT Japan Academy Hosts Its First Edutrip Program for Indonesian Students
From October 6 to 12, 2024, 23 students from Telkom University, Indonesia, traveled to Japan to participate in the “Edutrip in Japan” program, designed by FPT Japan Academy (FJA). This program aims to provide students from around the world with the opportunity to experience Japanese culture while also learning about the international work environment, enhancing their language skills, and developing soft skills.
During the 7-day program, the students participated in various workshops and seminars, including a presentation skills workshop led by Nguyễn Thị Hồng Nhung (Training Director at FPT Japan) and a “Future of Work” seminar conducted by Bế Thị Ngọc Quyên (Deputy Director of FJA). Additionally, they attended other classes, such as a calligraphy class, an “Information Supplement” class, and a basic Japanese language class taught by FJA Principal Kuroda Hideo.
Alongside their educational activities, the students explored famous landmarks in Tokyo, visited Mount Fuji, wore traditional Japanese kimonos, learned about disaster prevention at the local fire station, and enjoyed traditional Japanese cuisine.
Despite some cultural differences between the two countries, the students adapted quickly and were enthusiastic about the program’s activities. The most popular activity, voted by the students, was wearing kimonos. Many reported that they had significantly improved their skills during the trip, particularly in areas related to work, such as teamwork, presentation, and problem-solving.
On October 20, FJA will welcome another group of Indonesian students to participate in this program
