FPT Japan Academy organizes japanese traditional festival for chasing demons
️?With the desire to bring traditional Japanese culture to students, create joy on spring days, help students better understand customs, practices, festivals, and common folk games. It is held on the occasion of spring in Japan. FPT Japan Academy held the Setsubun ceremony. Students and teachers at FPT Japan Academy prepared devil masks and good luck beans. Not only meaning good luck, the ceremony also brings joy to those who participate.
On Setsubun, people often sprinkle beans to ward off evil spirits, this ritual is called Mamemaki (豆撒き). Eastern culture believes that, at the time of changing seasons, there are many evil spirits, since the Nara period, the custom of drawing devil’s faces and throwing beans to exorcise good luck has crept to the land of Phu Tang. In the Edo period, the custom gradually changed more or less with all classes.
